SAVANNA FOUNDATION

Co-Founder & Trustee

Patsy is the co-founder of the Savanna Foundation.  Her BA degree (Psychology) and Post-Graduate Diploma in Library Science, stimulated her interests in understanding people, research, documentation and photography.  The latter pursuits also encouraged a profound interest in the beauty and natural shapes and forms of nature, wildlife and birdlife.

Her philosophy is to “treat people as you would like to be treated” and to try to assist others in need while she is alive, which extends to her family, friends and the greater community.  Patsy’s main focus is on improving the formal and informal education of the youth, childrens’ welfare, abused women and children and the preservation of wildlife.

Patsy was educated in Cape Town and attended UCT.  Most of her married life was spent in Port Elizabeth, but she has lived in St Francis Bay for the past 15 years.  Patsy is widowed and has two adult children and two grandchildren.
